Sporting Schools Basketball

Sporting Schools Qualified Coaches

Every school can access 'Sporting Schools' funding and have free sessions delivered in their school. Sporting Schools sessions aim to:

  • engage primary school students in free, high-quality sport programs at school

  • establish partnerships between sporting organisations and schools to promote involvement in sport outside of school

  • develop the capability of schools and teachers to provide students with positive sport experiences

  • support life-long involvement in sport and physical activity to enhance health and wellbeing.

Our coaches can alter session plans to deliver learning outcomes for each year-level and teachers have the opportunity to mark student outcomes while our coaches deliver the sessions. Term 1 Funding Applications open soon!

Application open dates:
Term 1, 2026 8am AEDT Monday 27 October 2025 - 5pm AEDT Friday 14 November 2025
Term 2, 2026 8am AEDT Monday 16 February 2026 - 5pm AEDT Friday 6 March 2026

We will see out a reminder email once applications open and are happy to help all schools that require assistance in accessing government funding.
